My Favorite Fashion Flicks – The Iconic Outfits I Love
Breakfast At Tiffany`s
I am very inspired by the timelessness of Audrey Hepburn. Her personal style was nothing short of amazing, but this little black number stole my heart. There are many black dresses, but this was one was iconic. The dress that Audrey wore in the movie has been a favorite of fashion lovers near and far. No one could wear it like her. I hope to one day recreate this look to pay homage to an idol of mine.
Pretty In Pink – Duckie
I am always a fan of a man who has his own personal style. In the classic movie, Pretty In Pink, that is exactly what Duckie had. His style was quirky and weird to most, but I considered it classic. The styling is this movie was on point. Duckie actually inspires a lot of my menswear outfits. His style will always be a favorite of mine.
The Carrie Diaries
The fashion muse, Carrie Bradshaw never disappoints. It was so hard just picking one outfit for this post. However, I chose this one. I am a huge fan of poofy, tulle dresses that make me feel like a princess. I loved this outfit on Carrie because it shows how a dress can still be apart of street style. The dress is very glamorous, but it is then toned down by the denim jacket. This is not just any denim jacket. The green color wakes up the whole outfit and takes it to the next level. Carrie Bradshaw nails it every time.
Devil Wears Prada
This movie is a must watch for the fashion fanatics of this millennial age. The styling done on Meryl Streep was impeccable. When I think of the wardrobe of a fashion career-oriented woman, I think of the wardrobe of Meryl Streep`s character. This year black and white have been my go-to colors. This outfit is so chic and timeless. Pantsuits are apart of fashion I will never get tired of.
Why do I like this outfit you ask? Well, it`s simple. Every aspect of the personality of the character is portrayed through the outfit. It is not something I would personally wear, but I love how the outfit just shows how brave, strong, fashionable, and boss the character is. This show is a must see! I learned so much from it and it makes the “girl boss” term something that shows the world why it should not be taken lightly.
