ONE DRESS 3 WAYS -Unconventional Styles Blog
Welcome back fashion lovers!
Well, today concludes the summer outfit post I had planned…..THANK GOD! In celebration of my last summer blog photos I wanted to show you a way to maximize your wardrobe.
As an aspiring stylist, I try to get those who I am lucky to work with to use what they already have before going out to buy more. Sometimes, we can get caught up in the trends and sales and we feel as if we need to buy more. This is not the case. Today I want to show you 3 ways to style my favorite metallic, pleated dress that I bought from Cato Fashions.
AS A SKIRT
Here I simply paired the dress with a black sweater and black kitten heels. Midi length and maxi dresses are the perfect length to accomplish this look. This look is great for those transitional days going into the fall season. I would rock this to church, a girl`s night, and even work if I were at a more creative or art oriented place of business.
**Shoes are from Forever 21 and sweater is thrifted.**
AS A SHIRT ( TUNIC STYLE)
The dress over jeans trend has become a normal in the fashion world. I kept that in mind when styling this look together. I decided to pair this metallic dress with these tuxedo style pants. This was the perfect twist to the dress over pant trend. Using the tuxedo style pants makes it appropriate for work and gives it a more chic feel. Adding the vest and belting it was the perfect way for me to show ” Office Attire Dana”.
AS A DRESS
This is probably my most favorite look. I always look for a way to make my church wear more trendy and cute. Yes church girl swag is a real thing and I do believe this metallic pleated dress paired with this cropped blazer helped me achieve that. I wanted to keep it chic with the classic black heels. The necklace I thought would make it pop a bit more because it seems so extravagant. However, by burying it back behind my blazer that helps to tone it down.
FYW ( For Your Wardrobe ) ALERT : Metallics and the cropped blazer are huge trends for the fall and upcoming winter season.
**Cropped blazer is from a Forever 21 suit, necklace is from Boho Chic Jewelry, and the heels are the same from the previous styling and they are from Payless.**
I challenge you to go within your wardrobe and see what piece you can wear multiple ways!
