WHEN MY PRAYER LIFE INCREASED SO DID MY PEACE

Welcome back fashion lovers,

Today, is an On Sundays We Blog post. I know that prayer is a key part of a Christian’s life. However, up until recently I was not making it a necessary thing in my life.

MY LIFE BEFORE PRAYER

My life before prayer was hectic. I was lost. I was just living my life in an everyday, mundane routine. I was just going through the motions. Depression had set in and life was very dull. I couldn’t get motivated and I was settling for what life had given me at that point. The worst feeling in life is to is feel defeated. Nothing feels worse than that. I needed God and he had never left me. He just wanted to get my attention and hear from me.

MY LIFE AFTER PRAYER

I have learned that when life gets to its lowest point that God is trying to get your attention. I had gotten to a point where prayer was the only thing I had not tried. I started a new routine. I would write in a prayer journal and pray every night. Sometimes I would just tell God thank you for what I had because I didn’t even know what I wanted. My life after prayer became a life of joy and peace no matter the circumstance. The peace of God is an amazing thing! No money in your pocket? A bill is due and your check is short? Continuing to work somewhere that doesn’t excite and challenge you? Feeling like you aren’t where you should be in life? I have been in all these situations and there is such a wonderful peace I had through them all.

This is all because of prayer. We can’t pick and chose what part of our lives we put God in charge of. Prayer is a way to communicate with God. Run to him with all your concerns and watch the strength and peace he gives you to get through it. I have never had this much joy and peace in my life. The feeling of defeat is no longer there and I feel like going on.

Dear God,

Today, I pray for others. Especially my readers. God I don’t know their personal struggles but, I know we all have them. Whether it be financial, mental, spiritual, career, family, relationship, health, etc. Give them peace through every trial and storm. Our ways are not your ways and our thoughts are not your thoughts. So right now we put our trust in you. Thank you for joy and peace through every circumstance.

In Jesus name

Amen
