I Choose Joy
*Outfit details will be at the end of the post*
Welcome back fashion lovers,
The Bible says in James 1: 2-4,”My brethren count it all joy when you fall into various trials. Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”.
I found myself reflecting on the type of year 2019 has been. 2019 has been a year that has taught me to do just what that scripture says, count it all joy! I had to let some people go that I never thought I would have too and I had to let God have full control of everything that was going with and around me.
I prayed for more confidence and stability in every area of my life. God has answered my prayer in self confidence. My dreams REQUIRE me to have a strong confidence in myself. I am not less qualified because of what man says. I am good enough despite what man thinks.
Of course, I have had my bad days but, I count it all joy. The amazing peace I have is because I have counted it all joy. I have learned to let certain situations and people roll off my back. Some people don’t do better because they don’t know better. I have learned to pray for them and not hold grudges.
My happiness is top priority. If I am faithful to God he will be faithful to me. My biggest blessing this year has been the peace that has come over my life. I can’t tell you how it almost brings me to tears when I think of how hectic my emotions used to be.
I hate to give the devil credit but, I definitely let him get away with too much. Joy is one of God’s gifts to us. How dare we allow people or things take that away from us. 2019 is the start of a new trend in my life.
I know there are less than 2 months of this year left but, you have time to let all the bad and joy sucking things go. It isn’t going to be easy but it will be worth it. I’m excited for the growth that is coming in 2020!
